Doncaster Shoplifter Remanded in custody

A Doncaster shoplifter has been remanded into custody and is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to over 30 shop thefts.

Malcolm Bennett, 41 years of age, was arrested last Thursday (13 November) before being charged with 34 counts of shoplifting.

He appeared before Doncaster Magistrates' Court last Friday (14 November) where he pleaded guilty to all the charges he faced.

Bennett has been remanded in custody ahead of a sentencing hearing at Sheffield Crown Court on 12 December.
